The SSW show in Pittsburgh wasn't what I expected it to be. The show was set up in the middle of the SSW which consists of a large number of retail stores and a couple of
restaurants. The place was over run with tons of people more interested in buying a five dollar tee from Forever 21 or a hundred dollar one from Benetton. All the vendors were also competing the retail stores outside tables filled with the cheep crap left over from the previous season. The "I Made it Market" would benefit from having the show in a less
commercial environment.
You live and learn.
On a more positive note...
The owner's of
ModCloth.com happened to be out Friday night of the show on a movie date and came upon my booth by accident. Susan, the founder of ModCloth, ended up loving and
purchasing my "Sitting Foxy" necklace and leaving me with her card and told me to contact them for an order.
I now have a very nice order for "Sitting Foxy" and "Jack-Jack the Bandit. " So in September keep a look out for these pieces on the
ModCloth web site!
